History and Presentation:

PASSION FOR ALPACA FIBER
In 2004 and with 20 years of experience in the production of Alpaca fabric and other natural mixtures; Mr. Pablo Ibañez decides to build his dream Textil Colca a company dedicated entirely to the manufacture of Alpaca fiber accessories, to satisfy the demand of the most exclusive markets in the world.
 
Today we have production lines with enough capacity to provide diverse and high-quality garments to the most demanding brands in the world, marketed and distributed by Colca Fabrics. 

 

From our headquarters in Lima, Peru, Colca Fabrics have the support of more than 60 qualified employees with years of experience and high quality standarts. This allow to us to produce and finish over 40000 meters of fabric per month and Colca Fabrics has also two Jacquard Looms in order to produce any complex Designs.

 

We handle a stock service catalogues for prompt delivery and also we can make custom orders.

Alpaca breeding is a 100% eco-friendly activity with the Andean community and 100% sustainable.

 

We are also members of the International Alpaca Association (AIA), promoting Sustainable Culture, and we also actively work with the leading Entities and Associations in Peru in order to certify our work and our national and international actions.

 

 

The Alpaca and Design Lines.

Its fine fiber is world-renowned for its thermal qualities and great softness.
 

Alpacas are natives from the Peruvian highlands, where they have been domesticated since the time of Pre-Incas cultures.
Alpacas are raised in altitudes ranging from 3,000 to 4,500 meters above the sea level, due this complex  environment temperatures fluctuate between -20° C to 30° C in a single day.

 

The Alpaca breeding is an activity 100% eco-friendly with the Andean environment and sustainable.

Naturally come in a range of 22 colors .


Alpaca is lightweight, breathable, soft and not bulky or itchy and durable, impermeability and antiinflamability.

 

Alpaca is naturally hypoallergenic since it contains no oil or lanolin.


The Alpaca Fiber contains also microscopic airbags that  make them breathable.
